By using RooferRated you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What we provide

RooferRated publishes information about roofing contractors: facts from public records, what companies say on their own websites (labeled as their claims), and a score calculated by a published formula. Our method is described on How it works.

Information only, not advice

• Everything on the site is general information. It isn't legal, financial, insurance, or construction advice.
• Information comes from public sources and may be incomplete, out of date, or change after we check it. Every fact shows its source and the date we checked it.
• License and permit records are matched to companies by business name, so a record filed under a different legal name can be missed, and a similar name can occasionally be matched in error. A missing match doesn't mean a company is unlicensed or doesn't pull permits.
• Permit counts cover only the cities whose records name the contractor, and only the areas those records cover. Work in other cities isn't counted.
• Ratings from Google, Yelp, and the Better Business Bureau are theirs, shown as they appeared when we checked. We don't control or verify them.
• Always verify a roofer's license, insurance, and permits directly before you sign.
• Scores and rankings are opinions produced by our published formula, not guarantees about any company.

Companies we cover

• We are independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, any licensing board, any city, or any company we cover.
• Companies can request corrections by emailing hello@rooferrated.com; see Corrections for the evidence we accept. We reply within 2 business days and fix verified errors.
• There is no paid placement. Companies cannot pay to change their score or ranking, or to remove accurate information.
• Company names and logos belong to their owners and are shown only to identify the company. Companies can ask us to remove their logo.
• We list roofing contractors only. Businesses whose main trade isn't roofing are left out, and franchise locations are labeled with their brand.

Acceptable use

Don't submit false or misleading information, impersonate anyone, or try to disrupt or copy the site at scale.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, RooferRated is not liable for any decision you make or any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its information.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
