Confirm the legal business name on your contract, and look that name up yourself: Florida DBPR license lookup (myfloridalicense.com); Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors lookup (lslbc.louisiana.gov); Illinois IDFPR license lookup (and the City of Chicago's contractor license search); Texas doesn't issue a state roofing license, so ask for proof of insurance and the permit number. Ask who pulls the permit and get the permit number.
