Texas doesn't license roofers, so there's no state license to check. Ask for proof of insurance instead.

Permit history

We didn't match any roofing permits to SAC Contractors LLC in City of Austin issued construction permits. Permits can be filed under a different name or in a city we don't cover, so this is not evidence of unpermitted work and isn't counted against the company.

Reviews from homeowners who prove the job with a signed contract and final invoice. Each one will answer the questions that matter most with roofers:

• Final price within 10% of the signed contract
• Permit pulled and passed final inspection
• Manufacturer warranty registered in the homeowner's name
• Deposit size, and whether they came door-to-door after a storm
• Any offer to waive the deductible or take over the insurance claim
• Cleanup, follow-up fixes, and whether the crew was the company hired
